My Journey with Woolf: Using Data to Predict Disease and Change Lives
Hi, I’m Nantambi Gloria Faith from Uganda. Today, I work as a Data Manager at the Rakai Health Science Program, a position I earned thanks to my postgraduate diploma in Data Science from Woolf University.
Before Woolf, I had a background in public health and biostatistics, but I felt stuck. I wanted to specialize, to build real skills in data science and programming, but I wasn’t sure where to start. When I was introduced to Woolf’s program, everything clicked. The course was exactly what I was searching for: a practical, focused curriculum that gave me direction and purpose.
Studying with Woolf was a gamechanger. The flexibility of the Canvas platform allowed me to balance my studies with work, and the tutors were always there when I needed help. The recorded sessions, the interactive support, and the generous deadlines made it easy to stay on track, even when life got busy. It was one of the best learning experiences I have ever had.
The knowledge I gained in analytics, programming (using R and Python), and data management directly led to my promotion. Before, I was working as a Research Assistant. Now, I am managing health datasets and contributing in ways I had only dreamed about.
Looking ahead, my goal is to eventually pursue a PhD in data science and biostatistics. I am passionate about developing predictive models to forecast disease outbreaks, a vision inspired by my love for math and my lifelong interest in using data to make a difference.
Woolf did not just give me a diploma; it gave me a future. If you are considering an online program, I cannot recommend Woolf highly enough. The support, the structure, and the real-world skills you gain are truly life-changing.
I am grateful for the opportunity Woolf gave me, and I hope to return for further studies soon.
